Saunas

The Designer Range

Gone are the times when the sauna was an after thought, tucked away in a dark corner. Now a well designed and built sauna provides not only a welcoming haven for relaxation but also an important social environment. We offer an unbeatable combination of craftsmanship and technology, having joined forces with Harvia of Finland, the world’s leading sauna heater manufacturer.

We can design to any shape or size; options include tinted or clear tempered safety glass for doors and windows. Concealed heater systems, colour therapy lighting. Spruce or Hemlock construction (or a combination of both).

In common with all the Viking range, benches and backrests are from knot and resin free Obeche hardwood which remains relatively cool to the touch, providing a degree of comfort that is second to none.

Viking’s design team will work with Architect and client to create exactly the right sauna for a particular project application.

The Magnificence Of Colours

Colours have a significant overall effect on the health of human beings, Harvia’s coloured light system consists of the Therapy control unit and a Colour Light device.

The system can be installed in medium-sized and large saunas. The Colour Light device contains four different coloured halogen lamps (yellow, red, blue and green).

Alteration of the colours can be controlled automatically or manually.

Refurbishing Your Sauna

After a few years the best cabin starts to look worn and shabby. Until recently, the only solution was an expensive replacement cabin…along with all the disruption.

Now Viking can offer you a real alternative: a brand new interior for your sauna – at about half the cost of a new cabin. It’s proving so successful that many leading hotels, country clubs and leisure facilities have already taken advantage of this ingenious new method of transforming your sauna cabin. If you don’t need a complete refurbishment we will be happy to quote purely for the work that’s needed (e.g. replacing your benches)

What we do

While the exterior of your sauna cabin remains undisturbed, the interior is transformed as we:
Remove all existing benches and replace with solid open benches

Screw 32mm x 32mm framework into existing framing.

Insulate all walls and ceilings, covering them in 15mm thick Swedish 1st grade kiln dried, slow growing Spruce. Strip the door to its skeleton, insulate it and cover with the same as walls and ceilings. Fit new window moulds and door handle.
