Only
the finest materials are used for the Viking Steam rooms which are
manufactured from superior glass reinforced polyester. A pre-pigmented
chemical finish which is polished to a fine lustre.
The total construction
is based on the same polyester resin system ensuring solid inseparable
fabrication guaranteeing no delamination.
Viking steam rooms carry a Ten year guarantee, in
the unlikely event of something untoward occurring, it would not
be a problem as with our patented design we are able to remove one
or more seats and replace without disturbing the surrounding area.

Club Range
The CLUB Range with individual
seats is manufactured to the same specification as the exclusive
range.
The club steam room can
be supplied in any single BS colour of your choice without extra
charge.
The Club range is installed
in the normal way i.e. from the outside with one or two open walls
as with other steam room installations.

The Revolutionary
‘Inside Out’ Range
The Exclusive Steam Room
is the first on the market which enable you to construct it from
the Inside (*utilising all the available space).
The Exclusive Range can
be manufactured in any colour or combination of two colours- at
no extra charge –to compliment your décor.
The Viking
Exclusive Range is the only pre-fabricated Steam room that can be
fully installed from the inside within four walls of an existing
room.

This
is an enormous advantage for Architects and Designers involved in
new Leisure Centres, Hotels etc. is that all other trades can complete
their building work, plastering and tiling before installation of
our Steam Room.
This also enables us
to replace your old steam room without disturbing your existing
walls, tiling etc.
Refurbishing:
there is no longer any need to knock down walls and expensive tiles,
we can remove your existing steam room and install a Viking Exclusive
Steam room through the opening of your existing steam room door.
Exclusive models
are available with individual seating.
SERVICES
– Tiled floor, with drainage to central drain, mains
water supply, electrical supply and ventilation ducting will be
supplied by the client as follows:
WATER
SUPPLY – The Steam Generator will be connected to
a mains water supply. The supply should be 15mm copper and brought
to within 1 metre of connection to the Generator, terminating with
an isolator valve.
FLOOR
– A specially prepared floor should be laid with a level perimeter
200mm wide for the steam room walls and door, a fall to a central
drain of 1-100 and a drain below the generator.
VENTILATION
– An adjustable air vent (flange size 100mm I.D. – 110mm
O.D.) is positioned within the curved ceiling of the Steam Room.
Suitable rigid ducting should be provided by the client, vented
to the atmosphere or into an adjacent wet area.
ELECTRICAL
– Client to provide suitable mains electrical supply, terminating
with isolation near the steam generator. RCD protection is strongly
recommended.
All services
should be provided and installed by client prior to assembly of
the Steam Room. |

Personalised
Steam Room
Viking are able to duplicate
your own Logo, Crest or Motif into the concave backrest of each
seat, this is done during manufacture and is sealed with a gelcoat
to preserve the logo for all time.
All Viking Steam Rooms
have curved ceilings, Halogen downlights with 12v transformer.
New addition to our range-
the Pentagon Shaped Steam Room.
Viking is able to offer
a choice of any BS colour for our Club Range, or any combination
of two BS Colours for our Exclusive Range.
Jewel Colour Range –

Lighting
Two halogen downlights are provided in our steam rooms; these are
fixed within the curved ceiling complete with 12v transformer.
Door and Frame
Full length Bronze tinted safety glass in polished Gun Metal or
Bronze aluminium frame. The door can be hinged for right or left
handed opening. The door position can be varied in all models except
Penta series and can be positioned into a corner of the steam room.

bronze tinted full length toughened glass door, two light fittings,

Viking
Saunas & Steam rooms has seen a resurgence in the traditionally
tiled steam room as more and more health clubs, gyms and hotels
seek to create individuality and personality within their spa.
Traditionally,
tiled facilities have been costly to install due to outmoded methods
which were labour intensive.
Viking’s
contemporary yet cost effective use of materials to create state-of-the-art
tiled steam rooms are therefore proving popular.

Shape
and size are no longer a constraint as their steam rooms can be
custom designed and manufactured to varying heights and shapes to
fit the space available within realistic budgets. There is also
a wide selection of tile finishes and seating styles ranging from
a simple square section seat, to a more elegant and lavish design
with contoured backrests and seat fronts.

of cold white surfaces with dingy lighting. When the less expensive
and easy to clean modular GRP steam rooms were introduced, the demand
for tiles fell. However, with the development of new advanced materials,
tiled surfaces are now more easily applied, maintained and cleaned.

room even further by adding corner columns with contrasting mosaics,

Balanced
System Steam Rooms
VIKING
Steam Rooms are manufactured using “Balanced System”
G.R.P. to advanced formula, with bearers for strengthening
to give the highest insulation value as well as giving extra
strength to each integrally moulded seat section.
The Resin
used is the base resin of the gel-coat thereby giving a balanced
system – state of the art for non-blistering.
All sections are taken off precision made
moulds having been constructed by hand, polished and finished
to a high gloss – combined with twenty years hands on
experience and technical knowledge.
GRP
comprises thermosetting plastics which are chemically and
physically bonded to glass fibres.
Produced
correctly it is immensely durable. Weight for weight it is
significantly stronger than aluminium or steel – which
is why GRP is used to make everything from ocean-going yachts
to the nose-cone for Concorde.
It has
even been used for heatshield panels and blast relief doors
on oilrigs.
